I have been an Elvis fan since i was old enough to listen to hear. His music captures my soul, as many fans can tell you. I have made the holy trek to Graceland, toured inside his house, and have a few pine cone’s as a memory of my time spent on his lawn in Memphis. I have watched his movies, concert footage, and own his records, yet I still can not get enough. Its a weird little obsession that slips out every once and a while when i am presented with something new. I have thought a lot about the king this past week as we were marked with the 30th anniversary of his death yesterday, and my biggest thought, he brings tons of joy to new fans every single day. Unfortunetly, I was unable to make it to Memphis to pay my respects (yes, the wife thinks i’m nuts…but she understands.) so we will have to see about making it next summer, with a new fan, my daughter.
