Google took a while to get IMAP out to the people, but Gmail users sure did welcome it with open arms! Well, the people who got it first did. We got tipped off at DLS about IMAP showing up in a readers Gmail account Tuesday night. Fortunetly, I was one of the lucky ones who got the chance to experience it in a few of my accounts that evening before Google even posted about it on their own blogs. And it was sure worth the wait. My post titled Gmail gets IMAP happened to be the first post up and got more than its share of attention on Digg, Techmeme and some of the higher profile blogs out there. Skyrocketing to the top of both social news sites within an hour. Right place, right time = nice traffic. Thanks to all the peeps that dugg it, and glad I could get that news out to you asap.
